The Mad Hatter's tea party represents the ten of cups; Alice's contemplation on drinking from the 'Drink Me' bottle represents temperance; the caterpillar sitting on a throne-like mushroom from 'Advice from a Caterpillar' symbolizes the hierophant; and the white rabbit, who was Alice's first encounter with the magical realm, represents the magician who led her down the rabbit-hole, into Wonderland.

Drawings are by John Tenniel and quotes are from Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
